Chocolate Spritz Cookies

The other day, Mikee and I went to the salvage army store just to check things that I might like. We end up buying the slightly used Wilton Cookie Quick Cookie Cordless Press and now I am sharing with you the enclosed cookie recipes. Don't be discourage if you don't have this press, fork will do.

Ingredients:

1 1/4 cup butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon Vanilla
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2/3 cup cocoa
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt

Procedure:

1. Preheat oven to 375F.

2. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars at medium high speed until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each condition. Add vanilla.

3. Sift together flour, cocoa, soda and salt. Add flour mixture to batter.

4. Form cookies using the cookie press or if not, form a ball and press it with a fork.

5. Place shaped cookies to an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes.

Makes about 5 dozen cookies.

Store in an airtight container at cool temperature for several weeks or freeze to two months.
