3 cups all purpose flour
1 egg
6 oz. or 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
2/3 cups chilled water
Procedure:
1. In a big bowl, mix flour and salt then add the chopped butter, mix ingredients using your hand or in food processor. Pour in chilled water and mix again.
2. Form the flour mixture into a ball shape and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
3. After 30 minutes, knead the flour until every ingredients is incorporated and the dough is smooth.
4. Flatten the dough using rolling pin until it becomes 1/8 inch thick.
5. Shape discs with 4-5 diameters into the dough and cut. Reserve disc-shaped doughs for empanada. You can use it right away or freeze it for future use.
