Humba ( Stewed Pork)





Ingredients:

2 lbs pork shoulder, cut into big chunks
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 cups water
1/4 cup white vinegar
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 bay leaves
3-4 garlic, peeled and crushed
1 medium onion, chopped
1 cup ground unsalted peanut, optional
oil
hard boiled eggs, optional


Procedure:

1. In a large pot or casserole, saute garlic and onion, add pork and brown each side.
2. If the pork is brown, add vinegar, soy sauce, water, bay leaves, sugar and bring to boil for 30 minutes. Add more water if needed. Then add ground peanut and let it simmer for another 10 minutes or until sauce thickens. If you like, you can also add hard boiled eggs.
3. Serve hot.

You should try, masarap lalo pag pair with mainit na rice. Huwag lang madalas kasi alam mo na, ang taba ng baboy nakakahighblood.hehehe.
