Vegetable Tempura






Ingredients:

Vegetables of your choice
1 cup flour
1 cup cold water
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
pinch of salt
Dipping sauce, optional


Directions:

1. Prepare your vegetables.

2. In a bowl, mix flour, egg, baking powder and salt. Gradually add cold water and whisk until there are no lumps.

3. Heat oil, must be very hot and should be 1-2 inches deep.

4. Dip your vegetables into the batter and fry for 5 minutes or until golden brown. Place in paper towels to remove excess oil.

5. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
