Cornbread Recipe





Ingredients:

1/2 cup melted butter
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup yellow cornmeal
1 1/2 cups buttermilk
1/3 cup sugar
2 medium size eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda

Procedure:

1. Preheat oven to 400 F.

2. In a big bowl mix eggs, milk, sugar and salt. Whisk mixture.

3. Gradually add melted butter then flour and cornmeal, whisk again and then add baking soda. Whisk until mixture becomes smooth.

4. Pour the remaining butter into the iron skillet or pan and top it with the cornmeal mixture. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until color turns golden brown.

5. Best serve with hot soup or spicy stew.
