Pork Meatballs with Sweet and Sour Sauce Recipe


Ingredients:

Meatballs
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 3/4 cup bread crumbs ( i used Italian bread crumbs)
  • 1/2 teaspoon powder garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Sauce
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/8 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 3 teaspoons caster sugar
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 2 teaspoon white wine
  • 2 teaspoon oyster sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon corn starch
  • 4 tablespoon water
Procedure:
  1. Preheat oven to 400F( fry if oven is not available) and lightly grease baking sheet/pan.
  2. Mix all meatball ingredients and shape into 1" balls. Place them on the baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes. Set aside when done.
  3. Meanwhile, at a very low heat, mix soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, chicken broth, wine and oyster sauce. Bring to boil.
  4. Add baked meatballs into the sauce.
  5. In a bowl dissolve corn starch with water and then pour into the sauce.
  6. Stir mixture gently until sauce thickens and meatballs are coated completely with sauce.
  7. Serve as appetizer.
